Fluid Technology Accounting Specialist Job Description (Full-Time)

About Fluid Technology

Fluid Technology is an industrial distributor and manufacturers rep that sells air and fluid flow equipment to industrial and heavy commercial customers. We are a small business with a rather broad base of customers (~ ---------- per year) and 15-30 vendors we work with that supply us with material.

The number of customers and vendors creates some complexity with both keeping up with AR and ensuring all vendor bills are accounted for and paid on time. We also sell across multiple states and collect sales tax in 8 different states. We have a contracted agency that manages our sales tax reporting and filing.

Core Responsibilities:
Daily coding of bank and credit card transactions.
Recording all expense receipts
Accounts receivable: managing all communication with our customers and roping in the President when payment issues are going unresolved.
Accounts Payable: Issuing payments and remittance advice on all approved invoices and reconciling account statements from vendors.
Upload all monthly checking and credit card statements to Google Drive
Completing all month end reconciliations
Customer account set up: completing customer forms and registering Fluid Technology with our customers' portals as needed.

Our Technology Stack:
Accounting and Order Processing System (ERP): Odoo
For bill payment, we currently use the Chase Bank bill pay platform. We were using ---------- prior to going live with Odoo, but the version of Odoo that we use does not interface well with ---------- . We plan to launch a self-hosted version of Odoo in the fall that will give us access to 3rd party applications that should solve the integration issues, and at that time we would move back to ---------- for bill payment.
Our email and cloud storage are Google based
We use Google Meet and Zoom for virtual meetings

We are looking for someone with 5+ years of work experience as a bookkeeper and prior experience working with Odoo. We are a growing business and need someone managing the books on a full time basis.
