Bookkeeper — QuickBooks Cleanup + Ongoing Support (Remote, Philippines)

**Type:** Contractor, part-time — Phase 1 flat-fee project, transitioning to ongoing hourly work

**Location:** Remote, Philippines-based only

**About SV Chess Academy**

SV Chess Academy (SVCA) is a youth chess enrichment academy serving families across Sunnyvale, Cupertino, and Palo Alto. We're looking for a bookkeeper who can take ownership of a real, messy QuickBooks backlog and turn it into a clean, reliable system going forward.

**Phase 1 — Cleanup (target: 1 week)**

- Clear 251 pending QuickBooks transactions: match, categorize, reconcile
- Categorize historical 1099 contractor payments (paid via Zelle)
- Set up recurring rules for repeat vendors and Stripe payouts
- Set up QuickBooks Classes/Locations for our three campuses (plus a placeholder for a future 4th)
- Fix our Stripe lump-payout problem — itemize weekly deposits into individual transactions so revenue is trackable per campus
- Deliver a cleanup summary and a clean starting P&L snapshot

**Phase 2 — Ongoing (starts immediately after cleanup)**

- Weekly reconciliation of Stripe, Zelle, and check payments
- Weekly cash position snapshot to Viktor
- Monthly P&L, tagged by campus
- Ongoing 1099 contractor payment tracking for year-end filing

**Must-Have**

- Hands-on QuickBooks Online experience clearing a real transaction backlog (not just general familiarity)
- Experience reconciling Stripe payouts at the itemized-transaction level, not just matching net deposits
- Comfortable working fro ---------- ssy, unorganized real-world data

**Nice-to-Have**

- Experience with multi-location or class/location-based tracking in QuickBooks
- Experience tracking 1099 contractor payments for year-end filing

**Compensation**

- Phase 1: Flat fee, quoted by you based on the full scope described above
- Phase 2: $6–10/hour, based on experience and demonstrated quality during Phase 1
