Bookkeeper / VA

ABOUT THE ROLE
Optima Food Tech is a fast-growing Australian tech company servicing the food industry. We're looking for a Bookkeeper/VA to manage our Xero file.
This is a part-time, flexible role to start (approx. 5 hours/week), expected to grow as the business scales.
If you can also help with light social media (LinkedIn, website updates), that's a bonus — not required.


WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Bank reconciliation in Xero
- Invoicing
- BAS and GST lodgement
- Loading approx. 6 months of historical business expenses into Xero (Xero is already set up and active — this is backlog data entry)
- Liaising with our external tax accountant when needed
- (Optional) Light social media management


COMPENSATION
- Rate: $8 AUD per hour
- Contractor role, paid hourly
- You will report directly to Ray


REQUIREMENTS
- Experience using Xero for bookkeeping
- Start Date: ASAP
