JOB OVERVIEW

We are hiring a part-time Content Operations Coordinator for FirstEditing.

This is a workflow, organization, and repurposing role.

Your job is to help manage our Content Machine so that approved blog topics, existing blogs, service pages, newsletters, YouTube videos, podcasts, Published Authors promo, and social content are organized, tracked, repurposed, and handed off clearly to the production team.

This is NOT a daily social media posting job.
This is NOT a Canva graphic design job.
This is NOT a YouTube video editing job.
This is NOT a full marketing manager role.

We already have:
- a Social Media Production Coordinator who creates/schedules posts and Canva graphics
- a separate YouTube Shorts editor/video production assistant

Your role is different.

You will help keep the content workflow organized and moving.

Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain the Content Machine TRACKER in Google Sheets
- TRACK and ensure approved blog/content topics go through all the draft, review, publish, and repurposing stages
- MAINTAIN the blog/content tracker so each approved topic has the source link, target page, CTA, status, and next action
- MAP each content item to the correct service page, CTA, internal link, audience, and business goal
- REPURPOSE new and existing blogs into social post ideas, newsletter blurbs, LinkedIn post ideas, and YouTube Shorts source ideas
- ORGANIZE existing blogs, videos, podcasts, service pages, and lead magnets into reusable content themes
- PREPARE & oversee weekly content packets for the Social Media Production Coordinator
- PREPARE & oversee source-content packets for the YouTube Shorts editor
- Maintain a CONTENT SOURCE TRACKER
- Maintain an EVERGREEN CONTENT LIBRARY
- Help organize and launch our Published Author/community and content opportunities
- CONSISTENTLY TRACK, PLAN, AND REPORT what content is planned, drafted, reviewed, published, scheduled, repurposed, or missing
- Keep content organized in Google Drive and Google Sheets
- Flag gaps, delays, or problems for owner approval
- Keep approved content organized and ready for production handoff

You will work from approved FirstEditing priorities, approved source material, and approved service definitions.

You will NOT:
- create FirstEditing’s business strategy
- d ---------- our service positioning
- manage the social media person at the start
- edit videos
- design graphics as the main job
- randomly write blogs
- invent new service claims
- create complicated reports or unnecessary meetings

Required Skills:
- Strong ORGANIZATION
- Good written ENGLISH
- Ability to quickly learn and UNDERSTAND and promote our business model
- Experience with CONTENT CALENDARS, BLOG WORKFLOWS, or CONTENT PLANNNING support
- Ability to move content through a clear PRODUCTION PROCESS
- Ability to REPURPOSE CONTENT from one source into multiple content formats
- Google Drive and Google Sheets experience
- Ability to follow approved brand/source material
- Practical marketing judgment
- Comfortable using AI tools carefully for summarizing, organizing, drafting support, and repurposing

Hours:
Paid trial: 5 hours per week for 2 weeks
Ongoing: 5–8 hours per week if successful

Rate:
$7/hour during the trial
Ongoing rate based on skill, reliability, and results

- Organize existing blogs, videos, podcasts, service pages, and lead magnets into reusable content themes
- Prepare weekly handoff notes for the Social Media Production Coordinator only when content is ready for scheduling
- Prepare Shorts source notes for the YouTube Shorts editor only when content is ready for video production
- Maintain an evergreen content library
- Help organize Published Author/community content opportunities
- Track what content is planned, drafted, reviewed, published, scheduled, repurposed, or missing
- Keep content organized in Google Drive and Google Sheets
- Flag gaps, delays, or problems for owner approval

Your job is to keep the Content Machine organized. You will maintain the tracker, connect approved content to the correct service page and CTA, identify repurposing opportunities, and prepare clear handoff notes only when another contractor needs them to execute.
