DevOps / Platform Engineer

We are looking for a Mid-Level DevOps / Platform Engineer to join our team on a part-time basis. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys optimizing and supporting live production environments, ensuring operational stability, and improving deployment processes for existing products.

Rather than designing infrastructure from the ground up, you will focus on enhancing current environments by strengthening automation, security, authentication, and deployment workflows. You'll collaborate closely with developers to maintain reliable systems and support smooth product releases.

Key Responsibilities:

-Maintain, optimize, and support existing production environments.
-Assist with application deployments and release management activities.
-Enhance authentication mechanisms and access control processes.
-Implement and promote security-focused operational practices.
-Develop and improve automation for day-to-day operational tasks.
-Monitor system performance and contribute to improving production reliability.
-Diagnose and resolve infrastructure, deployment, and operational issues.
-Configure, maintain, and update application environments as needed.
-Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and recommend best practices.
-Partner with development teams to ensure efficient and reliable product deployments.

Required Qualifications:

-Minimum of 3 years of experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering.
-Strong English communication skills with the ability to explain technical decisions effectively.
-Experience supporting production applications using technologies such as AWS, Azure, Linux, and Git.
-Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps Pipelines, and Git.
-Experience managing cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code using technologies such as AWS, Azure, and Terraform.
-Experience implementing and managing authentication and access control solutions.
-Experience monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining production environments.
-Experience scripting and automating operational tasks using Bash, Python, PowerShell, or similar tools.
-Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or ChatGPT.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Experience enhancing and maintaining existing production environments instead of working solely on greenfield infrastructure projects.
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
-Experience implementing security-focused operational practices using technologies such as AWS Security Services or Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
-Experience configuring and maintaining containerized environments.
-Experience working closely with developers to support application deployment and release activities.

Work Schedule:
3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Philippine Time)
