MSP ENGINEER
Level 2 to Level 3, Service Board and Projects
We are a small US-Based MSP. Our clients are mostly in healthcare, manufacturing, and compliance focused industries, and they rely on us as their full IT department. Five people on the team. We are growing, and we are looking for a strong Level 2 to Level 3 engineer to join the team, work the service board, and take on real project work.
This is a great seat for someone with solid Microsoft 365 and networking skills who wants to grow inside a team that does interesting work. You will spend your days helping clients on the board, and you will also get real project work: onboardings, migrations, and security and networking builds. If you like variety and want to keep leveling up your skills, you will enjoy the mix.
We value first principles thinking and good troubleshooting. When you hit something new, you research it, reason through it, and bring us your recommended approach. You will be working across a diverse client base, so no two weeks look the same.
You will be part of a close team that talks problems through together. As we get to know your work, there will be room to take on bigger projects and more responsibility over time.
What you will be doing
Working the service board: taking tickets across a diverse client base, troubleshooting, and seeing issues through to resolution.
Project work alongside the team: client onboardings, migrations, and security and networking builds.
Microsoft 365 administration and security: conditional access, Entra ID, MFA, compliance policies.
Networking and firewall configuration: VLANs, security policies, VPN setup. Fortinet or UniFi experience welcome.
Intune and endpoint management: enrollment, compliance policies, app deployment.
Migrations: tenant to tenant, Google to M365, IMAP.
Documentation of everything you touch in our internal knowledge base.
What we are looking for
2 to 4 years in an MSP or similar IT environment. You are comfortable supporting multiple clients and working within a PSA and ticketing system.
Proven Microsoft 365 administration and security skills. Conditional access, Entra ID, MFA, and compliance basics.
Solid networking fundamentals with real firewall configuration experience. Fortinet or UniFi is a plus.
Comfort with Intune: enrollment, compliance policies, and app deployment.
Some migration experience: tenant to tenant, Google Workspace, or IMAP.
Excellent written and spoken English. You will be in Teams with the US team throughout the day and sometimes on client calls.
Strong documentation habits. If you did not document it, it did not happen.
Curious and self motivated. You enjoy solving problems and growing your skills, and you bring us your recommended approach when something is new.
Nice to have
Microsoft SC-300 or MD-102, or interest in earning them. We cover exam fees and study materials and we love supporting people who want to certify.
Experience with any of our toolstack: NinjaRMM, HaloPSA, Huntress, ImmyBot, CIPP, Hudu.
Exposure to AI tools or workflow automation. We are an AI forward team and actively building in this space.
What we offer
Full time remote work. Competitive pay, depending on experience, with permanent pay increases tied to certifications earned. Exam fees and study materials covered. Real project experience to grow on. A team that communicates well and trusts you to own your work.
Solid daily overlap with US Mountain Time business hours, since the board runs while our clients are working.
This role starts with a sixty day trial period so we can both make sure it is a good fit.
HOW TO APPLY
We are hiring immediately and will begin interviews within days of posting.
To be considered, for this position, please include BOTH your resume AND a short VIDEO, answering the followng question:
QUESTION: Walk us through a recent ticket or small project you handled: what the problem was, how you thought about it, and how it turned out. We care most about how you approach a problem and how you communicate, so talk us through it the way you would with a teammate, rather than just reading a script.
