Job Type: Part-Time (20 hours per week)
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM Eastern Time
Salary: $600

Job Overview:
We are seeking a creative and strategic Part-Time Social Media Manager to manage and grow the social media presence of a leading investigative storytelling and true-crime podcast. This role is responsible for planning content, creating engaging social media assets, managing audience engagement, and supporting episode launches across multiple platforms.

The ideal candidate has experience with podcast marketing, social media content creation, and community management. They are passionate about storytelling, understand how to engage podcast audiences, and can transform audio and video content into compelling social media posts that drive conversation and audience growth.

Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Production & Content Planning
Develop and maintain a proactive social media content calendar aligned with upcoming podcast episodes and promotional campaigns.
Plan content in advance to ensure consistent posting and audience engagement.
Maintain an organized library of templates and creative assets to support efficient content production.
Attend monthly tea ---------- etings and provide a social media perspective to episode planning and promotion strategies.

Content Production
Create engaging social media content, including quote graphics, short-form videos, and audiogram-style content using provided audio and video assets.
Write compelling captions that provide context, encourage discussion, and drive audience engagement.
Edit and produce social media videos from podcast recordings and other multimedia assets.
Maintain a consistent brand voice that resonates with podcast listeners and aligns with the show's storytelling style.

Post-Production & Community Engagement
Manage audience interactions across social media platforms by responding to comments and fostering meaningful conversations.
Monitor tags, mentions, and relevant industry conversations, and amplify audience- and guest-generated content when appropriate.
Coordinate with podcast guests following episode releases by sharing promotional assets and encouraging social media participation.
Support ongoing audience growth and community engagement initiatives through active social media management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing.
Experience managing social media accounts for podcasts, media brands, entertainment companies, or content-driven businesses is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of Instagram and other major social media platforms, including content trends, audience engagement, and platform best practices.
Familiarity with the podcast industry and a genuine interest in true crime, investigative storytelling, or long-form audio content.
Experience creating short-form video content, including reels, audiograms, and social clips from audio and video assets.
Proficiency with content creation and editing tools such as Canva, CapCut, Riverside, Descript, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar platforms.
Excellent copywriting and communication skills, with the ability to write engaging captions and audience-focused content.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to plan content and manage multiple deadlines independently.
Experience with community management, including responding to comments, monitoring engagement, and fostering audience interaction.
Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to maintain a consistent brand voice across all social media channels.
Comfortable working remotely and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
