Photo Editor VA (Lightroom) for Food Blog. Part Time, flexible hours

Hi, I'm Victoria. I run VLH Health, a high-protein recipe blog with a US audience, and I'm looking for a detail-oriented photo editor to join me part time.

This is a long-term role if we work well together. It starts small and grows.

WHAT YOU'LL DO RIGHT AWAY:

- Edit batches of food photos in Adobe Lightroom to match my preset and style guide (bright, airy, white backgrounds)
- Volume: 3 recipe shoots per week, around 5-7 final photos each
- Turnaround: photos are shot on Tuesday and edits are due Thursday

WHAT THE ROLE GROWS INTO (from around August):

- Assembling Pinterest pins in Canva from my existing templates. I supply the keywords, titles, and copy. You assemble the variants and follow a checklist.
- Possibly some Pinterest board maintenance tasks

MUST-HAVES:

- Real Lightroom experience with preset-based batch editing. You'll need to show me examples of photo editing work, ideally food photography.
- Comfortable in Canva
- Strong written English comprehension. All our communication is async and in writing.
- Detail orientation. The job is matching a style exactly, every time.

NICE TO HAVE (not required):

- Food photography experience
- CapCut or video editing experience (possible future work, not part of this role)

HOURS AND PAY:

- $6-8/hr depending on experience
- Around 2-3 hours per week to start, growing to roughly 5-7 hours once pin work is added. Variable week to week.
- I want to be upfront: this starts as a small workload. It suits someone stacking a few part-time clients, and it grows as we build trust.
- Async by design. I'm in the CET timezone, so your evenings line up well with my mornings, but you set your own schedule as long as deadlines are met.
- Weekly or bi-weekly payment via your preferred method (Wise, PayPal, etc.)

HOW HIRING WORKS:

Shortlisted candidates get a short paid trial task: editing a small photo batch to match reference images, plus assembling 2 pins from a template. You're paid for the trial whether or not we continue.
