About Kiln Crafts
We're a UK pottery equipment retailer — we sell pottery wheels, kilns, tools and starter kits to hobbyists, artists, schools, and studios across the UK. Orders range from £40 starter kits to £5,000 kiln packages, with an average order value around £2,000. We're a small team of three founders and an operations lead, we're growing fast, and this is our first proper sales hire.
Most of our customers are nervous beginners buying their first pottery wheel or kiln. Our brand is warm, honest, and never pushy. Your job will be to help people at the start of their pottery journey choose the right equipment — not to "close" them.

You'll have a custom AI assistant (built on Claude) that knows every product, spec, price and delivery time. Your job is to be the warm human who guides the customer — the AI handles the technical brain.
Who we're looking for
Fluent, natural, comfortable English — written and spoken. You'll be on the phone with UK customers every day. Native-level written English is essential. Accent doesn't matter; clarity and warmth do.
2–5 years of consultative sales experience, ideally in a considered-purchase category (education, luxury, kitchen appliances, fitness equipment, home, or similar). Pottery knowledge is NOT required.
Warm, patient, curious. Our customers are anxious first-time buyers. We need someone who listens more than they talk.
Confident on the phone and equally strong in writing.
Disciplined about follow-up — nothing falls through the cracks.
Comfortable learning new tools: CRM, Slack, Klaviyo, Shopify, Loom. If AI tools excite you rather than worry you, even better.
Reliable internet (30+ Mbps), quiet home setup, decent headset.
Deal-breakers

Can't reliably work UK hours (Manila evening / night shift)
Uncomfortable on live phone calls
A pushy or high-pressure sales style
Pay and structure
£1,000 per month, paid in GBP, direct bank transfer
Independent contractor arrangement — you'll invoice us monthly and handle your own BIR/tax on your side
Fully remote, work from home
Equipment (headset, monitor, etc.) we'll sort out with you as you settle in
90-day probation with 30 / 60 / 90 day check-ins, then an ongoing contract

Applications missing any of the three items will not be reviewed. We reply to every applicant within 5 working days.
