Senior E-commerce Bookkeeper / Xero Accountant — UK Hours, US + UK Experience

We’re looking for an experienced remote bookkeeper/accountant to take ownership of the bookkeeping for a growing e-commerce business operating across the UK and US.

You must be highly confident in Xero, comfortable with e-commerce bookkeeping, and able to work UK business hours. This means evenings in the Philippines: roughly 4pm-midnight PH time during UK summer and 5pm-1am PH time during UK winter.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate books in Xero
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, PayPal, Shopify, and other sales channels
- Handle AP/AR, bills, invoices, expense categorization, and receipt management
- Support month-end close, including reconciliations, journals, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting
- Prepare bookkeeping data for UK VAT and US sales tax review
- Work with our UK/US accountants where needed
- Identify issues, improve bookkeeping processes, and keep clear SOPs

Requirements:
- 3+ years bookkeeping/accounting experience
- Strong Xero expertise
- E-commerce experience is essential
- Experience with both UK and US accounting workflows
- Comfortable with multi-currency bookkeeping
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
- Excellent written English and proactive communication
- Reliable internet, quiet workspace, and ability to work UK business hours

Nice To Have:
- Experience with A2X, Hubdoc, Shopify, PayPal, inventory accounting, UK VAT, US sales tax, or management reporting.
