Short-Form Video Editor (Travel & Adventure Content)

Hi! My name is Alyssa Blake ---------- across all platforms), and I'm a full-time travel and adventure creator with over 1 million followers across social media and more than 30 million monthly views.

I'm looking for a creative long-term video editor who understands TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts and knows how to maximize audience retention.

What You'll Do
* Edit 1-2 short-form videos per week (with potential for more).
* Turn long-form footage and livestreams into engaging, story-driven vertical videos.
* Create edits that hook viewers immediately and keep them watching until the end.
* Use B-roll, underwater footage, drone footage, music, and sound effects to enhance the story.
* Extract audio from one clip and layer it over other footage when it improves pacing and engagement.
* Deliver videos in 9:16 format optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

What I'm Looking For
* Experience editing viral or engaging short-form content.
* Strong storytelling skills—not just cutting clips together.
* Excellent pacing and understanding of viewer retention.
* Ability to organize lots of footage into a cohesive story.
* Reliable communication and ability to meet deadlines.
* Fluent enough in English to understand spoken dialogue.

Important
To make the hiring process fair, all applicants will complete the same unpaid sample edit using the footage I provide.

By submitting your sample, you agree that I may post it publicly as a Trial Reel on my social media accounts to test its performance. The editor whose video performs the best will be offered ongoing paid work.

Compensation
* Starting at approximately 1 video per week.
* Budget: $5 USD per completed video to start, with opportunities for additional work and higher pay as we build a long-term relationship.
