SketchUp Residential Designer (Long-Term Opportunity)
About Us

We are a well-established residential building company based in New Zealand. We specialise in designing and building quality homes and use SketchUp to create detailed 3D concept models that help our clients visualise their future homes before construction begins.

We're looking for more than just a freelancer. We want to build a long-term relationship with someone who can become an extension of our team and grow with our business over time.

About the Role

You will work alongside our Lead Home Consultant and SketchUp Designer to assist with the design and development of residential homes.

Your responsibilities will include:

Creating and updating SketchUp models from floor plans and design concepts.
Making client-requested design changes accurately and in a timely manner.
Producing high-quality 3D models that help clients visualise their homes.
Preparing concept designs to a stage where they can be handed over to our architectural drafting team to produce working drawings.
Following our company standards and design processes.
Communicating with our team via Microsoft Teams when required.

Initially, this role will only require a small number of hours each week. However, we are looking for someone who wants to build a long-term working relationship as our business continues to grow.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

Has strong experience using SketchUp Pro.
Has experience producing residential home designs.
Can create clean, organised and fully editable SketchUp models.
Has excellent attention to detail.
Is reliable, responsive and communicates well in English.
Enjoys working collaboratively and is open to feedback.
Wants to become a valued member of our team rather than simply completing one-off projects.

Experience with Australian or New Zealand residential housing would be highly regarded but is not essential.
