am looking for a creative and reliable video editor to edit long-form Christian teaching videos and podcast episodes for a YouTube channel called Delayed
The content will primarily feature me speaking and teaching on camera, but the goal is for the videos to feel engaging, intentional, cinematic, and story-driven—not like a basic podcast where someone simply cuts between camera angles.
I am looking for an editor who understands pacing, storytelling, emotion, and viewer retention. The editor should know when to let a serious
The videos may include:
* Multi-camera editing
* Clean and intentional cuts
* Audio synchronization and cleanup
* Basic color correction and color grading
* Music and sound design
* B-roll when appropriate
* Simple text and Scripture references on screen
* Basic motion graphics and transitions
* Integrating animated sketch sequences created by a separate animator
* Creating strong pacing and maintaining viewer engagement throughout longer videos
* Editing short clips from the main episode for social media when needed
The main content will be long-form Christian teaching and storytelling. Some episodes may be more serious and reflective, while others may include humor, personal stories, biblical teaching, illustrations, and visual storytelling.
I want the editing style to support the message rather than overpower it. I am not looking for constant unnecessary zoom-ins, random sound effects, or overly distracting editing. The editing should feel creative and modern while still allowing serious teaching
The ideal candidate can take raw footage and help shape it into a complete episode. I value an editor who can make creative decisions, understand the emotion of a message, and communicate when they have ideas that could make the content stronger.
Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, or similar editing software is welcome. Your portfolio, storytelling ability, reliability, communication, and attention to detail matter more to me than the specific software you use.
Please send examples of your previous work, especially YouTube videos, podcasts, documentaries, sermons, teaching content, interviews, or story-driven long-form videos.
If selected, I will begin with a paid test edit before moving into ongoing work.
This is a Christian teaching project. You do not have to be a Christian to apply, but you must be comfortable editing content involving biblical stories, Scripture, Christian theology, and faith-based teaching. Christian applicants are especially welcome.
In the first line of your application, please include the word DISCIPLE so I know you read the entire job description.
